Hi,

I followed your directions but my graphic didn't insert itself on the line I created for it. It inserted itself on the next page. While the insertion point was near the bottom of the page, it still inserted itself many lines below, but the anchor stayed in the same place.

How can I get my graphic and my anchor to align themselves?

Hi Maris,

If the graphic is anchored As Character and there are enough empty carriage returns to allow it some space, then right-click on the picture and choose Picture. In the Type tab, look at the bottom in the Position section and see if there are any values in those fields, like it's specifically being positioned 0 inches from the top or something.

Also choose View > Nonprinting Characters to be sure there is a carriage return free for it to be associated with.

Hi again,

Thanks for the feed back. I always captions with my pictures, therefore my pictures are always maintained in a frame. Is there an advantage to anchoring my picture to the frame and then anchoring the frame "as character" or am I making this more complicated than it needs to to be?
